Before Care Instructions
At BareLUXE Beauty, your comfort, safety, and results are our top priority. Please review and follow these before care instructions carefully to ensure the best outcome for your Permanent Brow Makeup and Eyelash Extension services.
Before Your Appointment
To achieve the best healed results and ensure your skin is prepared:
24-48 Hours Before:
🚫 Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and blood-thinning medications (such as aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, or vitamin E) unless prescribed by your doctor.
🚭 Do not smoke, as it may slow healing.
💧 Stay hydrated and moisturize your skin, but do not use oils or heavy creams on the treatment area.
❌ Avoid tanning, sunburns, and direct sun exposure.
❌ Stop using Retinols, Retin-A, or exfoliating acids on the area.
❌ Do not schedule facials, chemical peels, Botox, or filler near the treatment area.
✅ If you tint your brows or lashes, do so at least 72 hours before your appointment.
Day of Appointment:
- Arrive with a clean face-no makeup, lotions, or SPF on the treated area.
- Eat a light meal before your session to feel comfortable.
- Relax-your artist will walk you through the entire process!
🌸 Permanent Makeup (PMU) Aftercare
Your skin will go through a healing process. Proper care ensures the best color retention and minimizes risk of infection.
First 7-10 Days:
✅ Keep the area clean and dry-dab gently with a clean tissue if needed.
✅ Apply only the recommended ointment (if provided by your artist).
🚫 Do not touch, pick, or scratch the treated area (this can cause scarring or pigment loss).
🚫 Avoid makeup, lotions, or skincare products on/around the area.
🚫 No swimming, saunas, hot tubs, or heavy sweating.
🚭 Avoid smoking and alcohol, as they slow healing.
2 Weeks Post-Appointment:
✅ Protect your skin with a hat or sunglasses when outside.
✅ After healing, always use SPF on treated areas to prevent fading.
❌ Avoid chemical peels, facials, Botox, or laser treatments until fully healed.
Healing Note: The color will appear darker at first, then lighten as it heals. Some scabbing and flaking is normal. Final results show after 4-6 weeks.

- Do you have uncontrolled diabetes?
- Do you have any bleeding disorders or problems with wound healing?
- Are you currently taking blood thinners, Accutane, or other medications that may affect healing?
- Do you have epilepsy, heart conditions, or high blood pressure that is not under control?
- Do you have a history of keloid or hypertrophic scarring?
- Do you have any skin conditions in the area to be treated (eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, active acne, cold sores)?
Lifestyle & Maintenance
- Are you willing to follow strict aftercare instructions for best results?
- Can you avoid heavy sweating, swimming, tanning, and makeup on the treated area during the healing process?
- Do you understand that touch-ups are needed and results vary depending on your skin type and lifestyle?
Expectations
- Do you understand that PMU is a form of tattooing and results are semi-permanent?
- Are you looking for natural enhancement rather than a makeup-replacement look?
- Do you have realistic expectations about color fading and maintenance?

Cancellation Policy
We kindly ask that all clients reschedule or cancel their appointment at least 48 hours in advance. This allows us to accommodate other clients and respect everyone's time.
⏰ Late Arrivals
Please call or text if you are running late.
Arriving late will shorten the time available for your service.
Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late without notice may have their appointment cancelled and forfeit their deposit
❌ Cancellations & No-Shows
Deposits are non-refundable. However, they may be applied toward a one-time reschedule if canceled 48+ hours before the appointment.
Cancellations made after the 48-hour window will result in the loss of deposit/pre-payment.
If no deposit was collected, a last-minute cancellation fee of $25 / $50 / $100 (based on service) will be charged upon rebooking.
No-call / no-shows will be charged the full service amount.
